Stepbrother

Ten formative years have nourished the tastes and talents of Ladbroke Grove four-piece, Stepbrother. Navigating their youth together, from Brit School and beyond, they collectively take cues from the lyrical density mastered by artists like James Blake and Thom Yorke and the jagged, matter of fact mentality of David Byrne. Their debut album, Don’t Frighten the Horses, is a sonic exultation of its own. An endearing and sumptuous listen, it progresses through tales of love and loss, welcoming in catharsis and self-acceptance, serving as a stamped marker on teen existence and a taste and texture of the waters they can shore. Beautiful things are happening.

Astral Gray

Astral Gray's otherworldly wall-of-sound vocals sit atop psychedelic Floydian grooves, characterised by wobbling synths and slide guitars straight from the 70s playbook. However, it quickly becomes clear that Astral Gray isn’t simply a nostalgia merchant. The slick modern production means it can stand next to offerings such as Weyes Blood or Father John Misty.

Between Suns

An enigmatic main course bending genres of rock, hip-hop with a dark, orchestral influence. Between Suns formed out of East London’s, Leytonstone ready to bring something new and different to the table.
