About the event

Lineup:

  • Mich Dulce And Her Midnight Callers

with:

  • Leo Walrus

Mich Dulce And Her Midnight Callers - the musical project of renowned milliner and musician Mich Dulce, alongside her co-songwriter, Sam Alexander O'Donovan, a duo whose songwriting partnership began remotely during the COVID-19 lockdown. After exchanging ideas for several years, they finally decided in 2024 to record demos and put a band together.

Both Mich and Sam have deep roots in music—Mich was previously in bands such as Death By Tampon and Us-2 Evil-0, while Sam played in projects including Average Sex. Their shared love of 1960s girl groups and 1980s pop bands informs the lush, harmony-driven sound of Mich Dulce And Her Midnight Callers, blending classic pop sensibilities with a sharp, modern edge.

The band made their live debut at The Finsbury in 2024, and their momentum quickly grew. That same year, Tim Burgess invited them to play Kendal Calling festival and generously funded their first recordings through his ‘Help Us Help Bands’ initiative.

Now, in 2025, Mich and Sam have been in the studio, starting work on their debut album—a record that promises to bring their shimmering melodies and evocative storytelling to a wider audience.

Leo Walrus - At 23-years old, Leo Walrus is steadily looking forward. Developing his identity as a songwriter over the past decade, the Southend-born artist has come to know London as a second home, navigating the city’s music scene with entrancing live shows at beloved venues including The Troubadour, Paper Dress Vintage, The Cavendish Arms and The Old Blue Last. Since bringing out his first singles ‘Creeper Star’ and ‘Up Somewhere’ followed by his first full-length album I May Need Some Silence last summer, Walrus has gained the support of Hard of Hearing Magazine, Still Listening, Clunk, The Most Radicalist, Acute Pop, BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Essex & Cambridgeshire. Emerging from the insular time which defined the sound of his debut, sophomore record Moontime shows Walrus deepening his craft. The result is an expansive collection that encompasses both hopeful foresight and poignant self-reflections, inviting listeners to share in Walrus’ carefully understood truths and bright-eyed sense of wonder.
