HEADCHECK

Newmarket based HEADCHECK defy genres drawing influences from brit-pop bands such as Blur (who’s hit ‘Song 2’ was the inspiration for the band’s name) and Oasis , alongside the post-punk bands and artists of today including King Krule , Fontaines D.C. and shame . HEADCHECK are a four-piece band consisting of Cam Redmond, Ulas Sagar, James Hynes and Ned Newman and the Teenagers have been gigging and writing extensively since their formation in the summer of 2023 already gaining themselves support slots for some of the most exciting bands in the UK including False Heads and Chappaqua Wrestling .   Despite their youth, HEADCHECK are experienced musicians having all been in bands prior to this project, they have played to thousands and shared the stage with artists such as Bilk , DEADLETTER , Gaffa Tape Sandy , Heather Small , Huntar , The Skinner Brothers , The Hoosiers and Opus Kink .  Having formed the idea at a party they all happened to be attending, it was only two days later they’d step into a rehearsal room together to start working on their craft. They spent countless days writing and rehearsing a set of jagged social commentaries and reflections of their youth, the early sessions they did throughout that summer birthed songs such as the punky and explosive debut single ‘Hemingford Grey ’ and the RAT BOY produced ‘The Journalist ’ amongst their extensive back catalogue of genre blending tunes.

Stef Pesic

Stef Pesic is a born and raised London based singer/songwriter, with Serbian heritage. Accompanying himself primarily with guitar, his music takes influences from the likes of Mac Demarco and Swim Deep to heavier acts like The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer, creating a blend of music that takes cues from bedroom pop, shoegaze, indie rock and grunge. His lyrics are retrospective and deal with the ups and downs of being in your 20’s - the joys of being in love, being broke and on the doll or dealing with anxiety and loneliness. He easily jumps from soft, intimate vocals to harsher vocal deliveries whilst using sparse chords in which he sings his confessional songs – portraying his deepest and most personal thoughts with fleeting ease. His first EP ‘Now Would Be Good’ was a blend of bedroom pop accompanied by synth’s and lush production alongside sombre folk-esque tracks. He has now released his follow up EP, ‘Are You So Certain Of Everything’ which has a heavier indie rock and grunge leaning sound.

lulu melons

lulu melons is the alternative-folk project of singer, songwriter and producer Rahul Menon. Drawing inspiration from artists like Alex G, Sufjan Stevens and Adrianne Lenker, lulu melons marked 2024 with the release of two singles, ‘Grave’ and ‘Pigtails ft. Ellen Jones-Davies’.

The Draize

We are The Draize ~ Jangly guitars mixed with dreamy distorted tones | Warm and melodic bass lines | Hypnotic drum beats

Belonging

Veering from anthemic indie rock to orchestral epics to club-ready beats to delicate acoustic tracks, the first few singles by Belonging have been full of eclectic DIY charm. With plays on Radio X, BBC 6 Music and Amazing Radio, plus recent support slots with the likes of English Teacher, Coach Party and Personal Trainer, it’s all helped to refine a live show packed with catchy choruses, nervous energy and home-made slogan t-shirts.
