Staycations
Staycations, hailing from Cambridge, are a five-piece post-punk band renowned for their gritty, poetic sound and raw energy. Formed in 2014, and after a nearly 6 year hiatus, they’ve quickly gained attention with their most recent singles ‘Early Mornings’ and ‘Regal’, which was lauded for its visceral lyrics and driving rhythms. Fronted by a charismatic lead vocalist, the band combines jagged guitar riffs, pulsating bass lines, and hard-hitting drumming to create a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Becoming well known for their electrifying live performances, Staycations captivates audiences with their intense stage presence and powerful delivery. With a loyal and growing fanbase, they continue to push the boundaries of the post-punk and Alt-Rock genre.
YUKE
YUKE are a 4-piece band from East London playing electronic indie-postpunk. Influences include The Comet Is Coming, PVA, LCD Soundsystem, Rammstein, Pixies, and Talking Heads. Their live act is raw and energetic, full of stage antics, dancey drum-machine beats, and spectacle. The band debuted onto London's live scene in 2022, going on to headline the Shacklewell Arms and the Victoria Dalston, and supporting 90s indie band CUD on their tour at the Garage Islington. They've since toured the UK and France, and played a number of festivals including Cro Cro Land, New Music Fest and Brighton Mix-Up. In July 2024 YUKE will open the main stage at Truck Festival. In 2023 YUKE released their third single "Small Rotations". They spent the second half of the year crafting a darker, more industrial sound which can be heard on upcoming single “New Edition” and the newly-recorded live demo.
Matty Whelan
Hailing from the villages of north Cambridge and with northern English and Irish roots, Matty Whelan is an artist with rich stories to tell. Drawing on soaring indie rock arrangements and emotive lyrical delivery, Matty’s music is made for anthemic sing-alongs anywhere from the mirror to the stage.
High Society
High Society is the brainchild of members and long-time friends Danny Snowdon and Cam Krueger. Formed in 2020 in the wake of the pandemic, High Society is an outlet for the trials and tribulations of two twenty-something young men struggling to find their place in these uncertain times we live in. Combining delicate melodies with crushing distorted walls of sound, High society strike a perfect balance of light and dark, beauty meets chaos. Taking influence from bands such as Nirvana,Basement, sunny day real estate and foo fighters, High Society fuse tender melody with hardcore harmony.
