Bonk! is making a splash in the Northern music scene, captivating audiences with an unending stream of fresh tunes and electrifying performances that are an absolute must-see for any music enthusiast. This four-piece ensemble crafts music that seamlessly blends experimentation with accessibility, armed with a drum kit, synthesizer, guitar, 5-string bass, and poetic lyricism. Their unique fusion of funky psychedelic jazz-rock has drawn comparisons to the likes of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Yin Yin, Black MIDI, RHCP, HENGE, and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, often attested by fervent followers or new fans after their high-energy shows. Having made a significant impact on the independent venue circuit, Bonk! has garnered attention from promoters, receiving opportunities with renowned acts such as Opus Kink, Alien Chicks, Keg, L’Éclair, The Comet Is Coming., in addition to a coveted slot on Liverpool’s Official Eurovision Showcase stage. As part of their upcoming UK tour, they are set to headline the official afterparty for the Liverpool International Jazz Festival. Building on the momentum and fanbase derived from their distinctive and virtuosic live shows, Bonk! has embarked on a consistent release of music online. Their singles have received multiple features on BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, and Pirate Studio’s Reprezent Radio as a 'TOP 5 FEATURE' Embracing values of authenticity, creativity, and a DIY ethos, Bonk! seeks to inspire others to think creatively and act with the courage to bring their ideas to life. In addition to their musical pursuits, they have dedicated efforts to maintain their own website, develop a video game, and host a local radio show. The highly anticipated debut EP, 'The Act of Doing It,' is slated for release on the 31st of March. Featuring four tracks recorded live in a studio setting, the EP aims to capture the essence of the energy that has become synonymous with Bonk!'s live performances.
