Hailing from Canterbury, Kent, Tez are a soulful ambient indie quartet that weaves indie rock allure, infectious melodies, and soulful, introspective lyrics into a beguiling tapestry of sound. Drawing inspiration from Foals, Ben Howard, Syd Arthur and Palace.
Since forming in March, the soulful ambience, anthemic riffing and deep, evocative vocals from the Kentish quartet immediately picked up the interest of BBC Introducing with receiving numerous broadcasts, Wonderland Magazine premiere alongside headlining Switzerland's prestigious Festival Tiefental, and a raving response within their live music scene.
London - based artist bringing together modern & vintage sounds. Influences include Father John Misty, The Lemon Twigs, Elvis Costello and a whole world of others. Next release - ‘That Mood/MutuallyAssured Destruction’, out on all streaming platforms from 31st January 2024.
Barish stole their name from the male lead in Eternal Sunshine, and are paying him back by writing and performing heartfelt, gently glimmering tunes in the hope that they can cheer him up. The duo consists of guitarists and singer-songwriters Jake Raywood (who also produces) and Jeanie Purselose, who met through the Norwich open mic scene. Barish is an amalgamation of their differing creative styles, a meeting of each other in an enchantingly folky soft-rock embrace. Their first EP is set to be released in 2024.
A singer-songwriter from South London, Matthew Ridley started playing solo gigs around pubs and clubs whilst still in school, spurred on after nights spent bustled in at the back of the room of The Easycome acoustic club in Peckham, listening to the likes of Andy Hank, Benjamin Folke Thomas and Trevor Lee. Pillaging the record collections (and drunken memories) of the same people who took him to The Easycome, Matthew grew up listening to everything ranging from the likes of John Coltrane and Bert Jansch to Prefab Sprout and King Crimson. With all of these influences swirling around Matthew takes his biggest lead from classic acoustic singer-songwriters like John Martyn, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley through to modern day contemporaries like Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers, Ryley Walker and many more.
