Rossana - Rossana, Inês Barroso's on-stage persona, has become a synonym of innovative approaches to music since its inception 5 years ago. Never shying away of the unconventional, the London based Portuguese composer has long departed from her background in classical piano, exploring genres ranging from jazz to psy-rock, Latin, Portuguese folk or even electronic music along the way. However, no matter how far she goes in her sonic incursions, she always manages to bring all these influences together in a sound that can only be described as her own. Her new album “À La Portugaise”, out in November 2024, reaffirms her heritage but never gives in to it, the artist aims to speak a universal language that will resonate with listeners across the globe.
flöat - Flöat is the solo project of songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, Heather Blore. Following the release of the lofi folk EP, 'World, This Was Fun', in 2022, flöat returns with single 'Easy Life'- the first from upcoming debut album 'Medjool'. A departure from sad folk, flöat explores 'jangly sad dreamy immediate off-kilter indie pop/rock' in this new body of work. For fans of yearning.
Fell - Nicolas Burrows, Jon Rulton, Matt de Kersaint Giraudeau and Dav Shiel. Fell’s songs are driven by Nicolas’s wry, off-kilter lyrics, considered vocal delivery and playful compositions: jangly guitar-pop and slow-burning pastoral folk sit alongside psychedelic freak-outs and krautrock rhythms. Nicolas’ intimate vocals float on top of woozy seaside organs and tape-wobbled guitars.
Fell’s first record, ‘There Still Are Mysteries’ was produced by Andy Ramsay of Stereolab and played extensively across BBC 6 Music. Currently signed to Lost Map, Fell’s ‘For The Pickling’ EP was released in 2019, produced by Peggy Sue/Landshapes’ Dan Blackett, featuring appearances by David Thomas Broughton and Luisa Gerstein of Deep Throat Choir. During 2020, Fell began ‘Sides’ - a singles project releasing two tracks at a time all the way from Side A up to Side Z…
Fell’s latest album, ‘Mallows Marsh’ was released by Lost Map Records on 20th January 2023. Mallows Marsh is Fell’s second full-length album – an ambitious, patchwork record full of mood shifts, flicking about lyrically through Anglo-Saxon healing charms, pastoral horror, horticultural murder-ballads, mid-Brexit snapshots and ruminations on personal myth-making. Sonically it’s full of wobbly guitars and woozy organs, with chamber-pop arrangements giving way to krautrock, raga and drone-inspired passages. Imagine 70s west coast psychedelia woven into eccentric English pastoral pop. Think XTC meets Love and Gruff Rhys. Produced once again by Dan Blackett, the album features Welsh artist Bedwyr Wiliams and master saxophonist Steve Hamilton (Madness, Noel Gallagher), with arrangements by Sean O’ Hagan (The High Llamas).
Madeline Thorp - Madeline is a singer/songwriter originally hailing from tropical lands of Preston, Lancashire. She effortlessly blends her bold, theatrical performance style with a knack for veracious, candid songwriting that lend her to the descriptions of “soul-baring, raw and deeply authentic”. Since her first London open mic in April 2023, she has gained a residency at the well-reputed Spritual Bar in Camden and performed at the likes of Jamboree, Green Note, The Bedford, The Finsbury and the Troubador. Most recently, she made her first endeavour with a full band and will be continuing to inject her energetic spirit reminiscent of Florence and The Machine and Fiona Apple into the London music scene.
